applicant selection
If you are choosing an employee from a pool of applicants you can double check your choice by making a selection opposite of what you are looking for - a selection of the worst candidate. You could be looking only for poor performance and counting every single mistake of the applicants. Then you can check if the person who is last on the chart of "worst applicant", i.e. the one who is least bad is the same person declared as the best candidate by the traditional selection procedures.
