make a messaging system

I want to be able to talk (IM) as well as send offline messages to various people, and I don't like how it's turned off by default. I assume that goes directly to the person's email, but at least have an offline aspect.

Feature is coming

Zao,

We are looking into adding some form of IM that is easy to use and integrate to the general usage of the site.

Thanks for your suggestion on the default settings of email. We will change the default and monitor its use, but if we see the system being abused we will revert it back.

Good Idea!

A IM system would be the bomb!  Have you seen the IM system www.panhistoria.com has?  Its pretty neat-o...  

Has there been any developments to get us to the IM Stage?  :-)
